I was born in the mountains of Colorado in a little trailer park off the banks of the north fork of the South Platte giving birth to my fly fishing obsession at a very young age. That obsession then took me and my fly rod into deep exploration all over the trout streams of Montana, Wyoming, New Mexico and Idaho. Living in Seattle for about two years introduced me to Steelhead and Salmon, and after my big fish cherry was popped, I was off to Florida for 5 years, on and off, where I pursued Tarpon, Jacks, Redfish, Trout and Sharks regularly.  My fresh water urges had me also ripping lips into bowfin, bass, and grass carp in various southern urban locations.  Fate landed me back in CO, where I continue to pursue large trout, carp, pike, bass, and whatever else I can stick a hook into. Guiding, as well as managing a fly shop has immersed me into a lifestyle I will continue for my lifetime. Always in pursuit of the next fight.
